Listen to Laure Briard’s new album “Un peu plus d’amour s’il vous plait” here
Laure Briard is a young French singer from Toulouse who sings trippy, mystifying songs. Briard’s sound nestles itself somewhere between French yéyé, 60’s garage and a modern psych sound touching on various themes between disenchanted desolation and hopeless romanticism.
“Un peu plus d’amour s’il vous plait”, Laure’s third LP was produced by Jake Aron (Solange, Snail Mail, Grizzly Bear)

“Marin Solitaire” (“solitary sailor”), which was inspired by an interview with “high seas navigator Francois Gabard about the loneliness of a man stocked in the middle of an infinite ocean” and might just be her best track yet, finds Briard back singing in her native French, and sounding like some magical union between Stereolab and Françoise Hardy.
